West Bank Olive Oil

This olive oil comes from a family orchard in Taybeh in the West Bank. It was gifted to me during an undercover investigation into settler expansion in the region. A couple months after my visit, the grove was attacked by settlers and burned. Many of the trees did not survive. 

This oil is considered sacred…it may represent trees that are gone. When offered the oil back, the family declined. They asked instead that it be used to raise funds for displaced Palestinians still struggling to survive. 

Proceeds (less 20% to keep this site and program going) go to VenDi Market’s Cause of the Quarter, Taybe to Table, supporting displaced Palestinians in Cairo with dignified groceries.
