Photocopying of sheet music is allowed only for educational purposes and festivals where a copy is needed for the adjudicator as well as a pianist. The printed sheet music is meant to be destroyed afterwards. A lot of music teachers who regularly enter students into festivals will keep photocopies of songs that are regularly chosen by various students in order to avoid using more paper than needed. I inherited these photocopies of sheet music from an old mentor, however I no longer enter students into festivals, so I figured instead of putting all of them in the recycling, a better use for them would be crafting!
