Matthew is obsessed with WWE and refuses to believe any of it is staged. He talks about wrestlers like they are close personal friends and once tried to convince his GP that chair shots to the head were “character building.” His bedroom walls are covered in foam fingers from every show he has attended, each one lovingly stapled in place like holy relics.

He has recently started trying to date but quickly discovered that mentioning WWE is a deal-breaker. One woman left mid-coffee when he began ranking the all-time greatest tag teams, and another unmatched him instantly after he referred to The Undertaker as “a true philosopher.” Matthew remains undeterred and is holding out for what he calls “a woman who respects the art of the suplex.
